Pre Marriage

The days have become lonely at the work-place. My fellow ‘bitch-the-management’ mates moved out. So there is no more ‘bitching’ sessions and the coffee breaks have grown shorter.

But there is a group sitting near me who gets together for short chats. Although I am not part of the gang, I love eaves-dropping into their tidbits while pretending to work.

And there is this really beautiful lady in their group who is fast approaching the upper limit of marriageable age (Yea, I dream of her always, err secretly). She started talking about a marriage proposal that came in her way.

The chat-mates got around and started tearing apart the boy piece by piece. She said, ‘I heard that the guy is professionally useless’. I gulped. The poor boy was being disrobed here without his knowledge. God knows, how many allegations are true.

Someday I would be disrobed too, may be a thousand times. Boy, marriage sucks…big time.

its not what he achieves but how he makes her feel.
initially its the looks and the career. later that will seem irrelevant.
as long he makes her feel loved, definitely she will praise him, even if he is a career loser.
all she needs is a genuine smile. i know i sound senti, but think of what you would enjoy and be loyal to:)

and if he were a guy, i think his whole family would be gathering her gossip pre and post marriage:)

i have no illusions abt marriage...i think its unnatural..but somewhere along the line u do have a chance of getting tied to a person who can understand u....similarity...somehow there are those who think opposites attract but i think attraction is chemical...what can make 2 people stay together is about honesty...and not negating urself...most of all abt not negating the other...see it like a blessing, ur only society induced avenue of ever trying to see beyond urself...its good..only if u r into seeing and knowing that u can only see urself thru reflections...

all the best pal....for all i speak and write, iam a believer of a companion....

As i grow older, i have an illusion of getting lonely...
We get committed on the fear of growing old alone.

But as you said to get a honest companion ...not going to be easy...leave marriage I doubt if we are honest with ourselves atleast

If you really think marriage sucks, then why do you say you will be disrobed someday too? Why not be a bachelor for life?
Now, does the thought freak you out? ;)

Disrobed...without my knowledge...

Bachelor for Life...yea it sends creep down the spine ...But sadly marriage sends a deadly shiver
