The daily Thought- Broken Glass Windows

It;s very difficult to keep up with an initiative however small it is. But it's good to have some discipline

The last day I was reading a bok written bya close confidante of Hitler. He was Hitler's chief architect and in no ways involved in any millitary or ideological decision of the Nazi regime

He says in the book how he and his fellow Germans saw the broken glasses of jewish shops, when the repressions sarted, and chose to walk away. They did so because they did not want to be bothered or they thougt Hitler meant only good for the country

Today we are surrounded by the images of the broken windows and we choose to walk away. I'm sure we are going to regret soon

The Daily Diary- Orange Comrades

Here's a quick post. Don't want to lose the habit so soon.

For the first time I browsed through Google Books. Quite surprised that e-books cost as much as hard copies.

Which means books are not priced by the papers but by brand built by the Author. The rule applies for any product-tangible or intangible

Meanwhile the hardcore communists are getting ready to welcome breakaway faction of Modi loyalists. They have some lame excuses to go with it as well. BJP is not bad also. The party who calls Congress as corrut has some rife corruption inside it!!!

Anarchy or not I prefer AAp

The Daily Diary- TP murdered by just 12

Today morning I made a decison to post somthing daily on the blog. For that I purchased a not so cheap bluetooth keypad

Thank God I am kicking off a good habit

The morning newspapers were splashed with the news of court judgement of murder of prominent political leader. So much arguments flying to and fro. Political murders are bread and butter for a large sction of the ruling class. No a single ncident has become a touchy affair for the entire population. Quite funny

Good thing is the people high above the ladder has escaped unscathed. God bless the magistrate

Good mornings 17032012

Ah well March 17 is dedicated to the loveable people we love to hate.

First prize goes to Pranabda. He tries his best to make sense out of senselessness. And as he may have anticipated, he no longer has any friends. In the era of micro globalisation, its pointless to blame inflation, subsidy, black money on an individual. We Indians would rather put it on the Finance minister. And if there are any guy to pick out, I would rather crucify Bush. But for us, white men are holy.

The second prize goes to Mr.Tendulkar. Not so long ago he carried the dreams of an entire nation on his shoulder. He had to live and play long enough to see entire blame on his shoulders. In a team where not even one plays decently, he was picked out. Yesterday I was rather sorry to see a haggard and worn down man walk in to get his trophy. This is a curse every legend has to face. I just read a piece on him I'm HT by Ian Chappell. It's sad a white man picking up a few lines we failed to see. Rather sorry to say - I'd rather see him go.

Happy Banana Republic day

The first thing to do on a republic morning - pick up the morning newspaper to watch out for the loser who paid to get a PadmaSri.

Last year a Malayalam actor Jayaram got himself nominated from TamilNadu. I don't think he has acted even in 5 Tamil films. After the function, he explained how overjoyed he was... Thanking god, gurus and all the emotional atyachars accompanied.

Now its the turn for Priyadarsan. God knows what his contributions are apart from English inspired cinema. And doing some ads, owning a cine stars cricket league

The signs of banana republic becomes obvious when space scientists wash their dirty linen in a free for all. ISRO was once renowned agency and the rare government outfit that made us proud

Good Mornings 02122011

Day in and out the neo Indian intelligentsia have been tweeting and retweeting about ‘much needed economic reforms in India’. ‘The parliamentarians seem to be stabbing the growing India by not debating’. I find it strange that the government passes a crucial, face changing bill and then brings it to the floor. The whole process of democracy looks quite irrelevant here.

The new generation Indians too suffer from a strange case of memory loss. The nuclear bill that had been passed hastily without much discussion and lots of noise catapulted the PM to an exalted position winning him the next election. But I hear no news of it. There have been no plants as promised. But retailing is going to be different and we are going to see lots of changes in Indian landscape but hope there is a debate prior to it.

Sardesai and Tharoor have been quite busy on twitter and so is the financial analysts. But except for some vague expression of job generation, only thing assured is some low cost consumerism. I engaged in a debate with a guy on twitter. He spoke passionately on opening up economy at ‘lower levels’, now whatever that means I asked him a couple of questions:

1. Shutting out competition- is it safe in the long run?

2. How is the small landholders going to benefit

3. Speaking about job generation- why cant these honchos generate jobs in USA and UK?

What followed was a single sentence- we are going to get goods at a low cost. So that’s what is all about-plain greed and ugly consumerism.

I am on leave today and am going for ‘Dirty Picture’ :D a sensible thing to do in these times

RE-volution

Today there was a farewell party for the colleague. Down here men retire from government service at 60. There were a few designated to say ‘good’ words about the departing colleagues. The guy was setting apart the rest of his life to things he couldn’t do in real life. One was reading up all the books he missed in his last 40 years. The item number two was a dream project, some sort of cultivation in a far off land.

It confuses me why people have to wait till 60 to chase their ‘dreams’. May be yes, we have too much to worry in this miserable life. Its hard to live in a third world country. But then there are youths who get inspired by Hollywood and the new age Bollywood. I met a blogger friend, who wanted to do that. Chasing dreams are far removed from film.

The movie star’s only dream is to churn money and the Bollywood kids are merely there thanks to sugar daddies. Dreams are passions are so close to the tender most part of heart. When you chase them you have a risk of losing them. Better leave them alone.

And another kind of revolution is going on- tweeple revolution, is what some people refer it to. Apparently a dam is going to burst it seems drowning half of Kerala. A filmstar (pretty one) joins the fight and now there are millions of guys asking her to retweet, sign digital memos, standing behind her. Gone are the days when Churchill asked for blood. Today’s revolution needs RETWEET

King of good times

Until a few days ago, he was my hero. He was the one I wanted to be. I marveled at his lavish parties. I used to go to library to get hope of his magazine. His annual calendar was the dream of every teenager.

By now you would've made out.who the hero is. The Kingfisher beer was lifeline for many. Figuring out a majority in the country drinks, he would be virtually controlling most.of the country. This was obvious when he won undisputed to Rajyasabha winning votes of both the sides.

And then he moved onto sports. His franchises were a pauper success - football, cricket, motor sports. Suddenly he was the businessman the country. A benevolent guy who didn't mind having a great time and shares the spoils with poor countrymen.

Now he seems to be a butt of jokes- just because one of the ventures didn't click. Our government seems to be spoiling the party by doing their best to help. I don't know how to describe rulers who don't mind the national carrier going broke, but are too eager to help Kingfisher.

Insensitive...

After a brief absence, here I come back again. I am on the process of preparing myself for another examination. And that really sucks. Meanwhile I got a late night partner to chat with. Well the topic is quite enjoyable- sexuality. Hence I get little time to think about blogging.

The papers have been celebrating the arrest of a leader for publicly violating the court order. The High court had passed an order banning all meetings on public places. Obstruction to public- that was the rational. Today I and thousands of others working and staying at the heart of Kochi had to walk for miles. Reason being Vice President was passing by and hence nothing that moves could move along the roads. The few buses were over crowded and it almost turned a nightmare. Now isn’t this a public nuisance?

And just imagine a President who freezes the public life to inaugurate a private five star hotel. The common man’s wage is gone while she gets paid handsomely for it.

Last week I was more awed than alarmed when Manmohan responded even Diesel has to be deregulated. He doesn’t even bother about the common man who was simply stunned by the hike a few hours ago. Well he is not insensitive as an individual. He is just a part of the giant ruling wheel, that keeps rolling without any sense of empathy for the common man. And thankfully the common man is quick to be awed and slow to react.

We claim to be a democracy and have we ever noticed we produce an elite class election after election. Are we moving towards an oligarchy?

Good Mornings 17082011

Yesterday would have been the most illustrious independence day in our history. Finally we managed to break the bondages of State Machinery and came together to defend an illustrious son of the soil. Indians, we ought to be proud.
I am still very much vary of the idea of satyagraha, which is a counter revolutionary procedure. But the world over, irrespective of ideologies people are getting on to the streets. May be it's global warming, the temperature are soaring high.

May be we forgot the man who started this all- Assange.

In another corner of India, some clowns are preventing stock taking of world's richest temple claiming wrath of Diety. The fear may even prevent Supreme court from cancelling their ruling.

The dance of wipers

Mr.Murdoch owns and controls the nerve centre of world's largest media conglomerate. His reach and control in shaping western and world policies are notorious. Thankfully destiny prevented him from taking over Sky B.

Now when his chips are down, the central figure to emerge is going to be the second largest investor Bin Taleel. Hope he might have already been spoilt by western riches or USA and its conservative policy makers will find themselves in deep shit.

Then I happened to read another news that of the 22 soldiers shot down from a chopper in Afghan 22 belonged to the elite squad that terminated Osama. Now that's what I call a wow!! Although unconfirmed this might cause a pain in Obama's ass and he can kiss his re-election campaign good bye.

Right now I am watching some stupid guy in Delhi trying to whitewash Sheila DIxit. Dude however the best you try, you sound like an asshole. But then you would have made your crores already. So blabber on. Kapil just finished his joker act.

Good Mornings 03082011

Good Morning everyone!!!

Yesterday we had another bachelor’s dinner and promised to have more. But this time it was simpler than the last one but fulfilling. I promised to chip in more.

The last night we had a more meaningful conversation about family. However diverse we are, we have one thing in common. We badly miss our parents. And no doubt they might be missing us too. The moment they see their kids moving out, they realize they are no longer young and starts ageing. The little quarrels we pick up infact brings down their age!

Another pilot have died, thanks to air crash. It seems India manufactures more martyrs off the battle fields. I had a very interesting argument with an old time class mate who is into Air Force now. We signed off in a huff. Hope she will remember me when the news came out. When’ Rang De’ came out I was very much against it. But after some more maturing up I think our armed forces might not be so clean.

Thankfully opposition has stood up this time around in Parliament.

Good morning 01082011

Hey everyone, I missed a few good mornings! One of the reason being my internet balance ran out. Well, you know yours truly have been doing a few downloads and you can take a guess!!!

For the past few days BJP is busy saving its face and Yeddy his ass. I have learnt to sympathize with Indian polity. A government who is busy corrupting themselves and the system. Just when we think there are going to be fireworks with the ammunition gathered by poor journalists against the government, the opposition will shoot itself in the foot. Thankfully we are a race with never ending patience. Just as Dravid goes on batting, we are ready to wait for centuries for some change.

And no matter how mammoth and modern the technology becomes, there are simple techniques to avoid detecting the edges. Apply Vaseline over the bat. Thank you Vaughan for spreading the secret.

Talking about technology, we are seeing huge changes in China. This time it’s not another invention. An anchor spoke publicly over the TV, ‘Grow slow China or else you will leave the souls of people behind’. I hope an impending revolution wouldn’t see a western stooge in it’s place. China being a huge country the unrest can cause turbulence down here too.

Last of all guys, Months ago I watched a movie attracted by its name- Bedazzled.

I have never seen a worse movie with Fraser in his typical self of overacting and Hurley doing her underacting. She was the Satan in the movie- but this time Satan was too sexy and skimply clad to ignore and Satan was busy trying to teach Fraser all about Love.

Sounds weird, right! Well I read a weirder review yesterday eulogizing the philosophy of the crap.
